Spring 2008 Programming Events

Monday, January 21: Spring 2008 Mandatory Orientation for New Students. Call DISP at (860) 486-3855 to sign up.
Time: 8:30 am-3 pm
Location: Student Union, 3rd Floor

Friday, January 25: International Services Day. This is the time to apply for a new Social Security card, get local banking information and Driver's License requirements, as well as other useful information about the Storrs community/area.
Time: 10-12 am.
Location: Student Union, Room 307

Friday, January 25: Wal-Mart Shopping Trip. Sign up is required and can be done during Spring Orientation on January 21.
Time: 5-7:30 pm
Location: Meet in front of the Student Union for departure.

International Women's Group. The first meeting will be held on Thursday, January 31, from 7-9 pm in the Student Union, Room 307. Thereafter, the group will meet every other Thursday. For more information, e-mail Laurie Tompkins. Photo Gallery

Our Weekly Coffee Hour is held every Wednesday from 2-4 pm in the Student Union, Room 307. Stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee and sample from desserts and snacks. Meet new friends and former friends from last semester. Some "special themed" coffee hours will be taking place on the following dates:

February 6: Mardi Gras Coffee Hour
February 13: Special Valentine's Day Coffee Hour
March 12: St. Patrick's Day Coffee Hour

Our Game Nights are held on Tuesdays from 7-9 pm in the Student Union, Room 307. Stop by with your friends and play ping-pong, foozeball, chess, checkers, and various board games. Tournaments to be announced.
Dates: January 29; February 12, 26, 27; March 11, 25; April 8, 22; May 6

Saturday, April 5: Newport Bus Trip. Tour the beautiful mansions and ships and go shopping in Newport, Rhode Island. Tickets can be purchased at the DISP for $20 per person.
Time: Leaving Storrs at 8 am and leaving Newport at 7 pm. View flyer (pdf).
