Regional Campus Students

Welcome new students. The Department of International Services and Programs offers immigration advising services and support to international students at all of UConn's campuses (Storrs, Stamford, Avery Point, Law School, Greater Hartford, Waterbury and Torrrington). The information on this page is intended especially for international students at the regional campuses (not at Storrs).

Rae Barter is the International Advisor who works with students at the regional campuses. Rae is based at the International Center in Storrs, but travels frequently to regional campuses to meet with students and present workshops related to the F and J student and exchange visitor regulations.

If you need advice related to your F or J status and you are a regional campus student please contact Rae in one of the following ways:

By e-mail: Send an e-mail to rae.barter@uconn.edu or disp@uconn.edu

By telephone: Call the DISP office at (860)486-3855

By U.S. Postal Service: Common requests such as travel signatures, program extensions, transfers and practical training applications can often be handled via regular U.S. mail. Just follow the steps outlined on the DISP website and send all the necessary documentation to the DISP office. Please indicate in your application if you would like to pick up your documents in Storrs or at the next regional campus advisor visit, or if you would rather have us return the documents to you by mail.

In person: You can e-mail Rae to make an appointment on a day she will visit a regional campus.
